It’s week 29 of the wandering hippie journey by “Stevie Wander” some fifty years ago. This week we find him traveling across Turkey and Iran to the doorstep of Afghanistan. From a grueling three-day train trip through Turkey to the strangeness of entering Iran, which is a very different culture from Turkey and Arabia. Stevie arrives in Mashad, Iran at the time of a holy pilgrimage as he witnesses the powerful stirrings of spirituality in the Farsi-speaking Persian culture.
