Wanderer Weekly - Week #39

It’s week 39 of the intrepid journey of the wandering hippie, “Stevie Wander”, exactly fifty years ago. This week we find him in India in the town of Agra. He takes a tour of the Red Fort. Then it’s off to see the world-famous Taj Mahal. Stevie becomes absorbed into the Hindu culture, meeting Saddhu holy men, contemplating the power of the “third eye” in his forehead, musing about spirituality, and observing the happenings of the people all around. After a few days Stevie then boards a third-class train to the ancient city of Banares, the holy place of the Hindus, where he hangs out on the ghats along the Ganges River, where dead bodies are constantly being burned. Then Stevie heads north to a town called Patna, then to the border with Nepal. Come hear more about this once-in-a-lifetime adventure in India, while on the Hippie Trail.
